Jam the switchbox and be the best OperatOr。 10月20日更新,修复音频问题。\n 10/20 fixed audio issues。
10/20 原来一直没关debug模式,意味着核心玩法只能玩三十秒。现已正常。\n 10/20 Just found out the game was in debug mode the whole time, which meant the main gameplay only lasted for 30s. All fixed now.
Welcome back to your night shift, Operator. You've just reclaim the old manual telephone exchange in town. Your job is simple: connect the calls.
How to Play:
When a line rings, you must trace the request to the correct destination jack before time runs out.
Answer the Call: Select an empty cord from the bottom row. Click the blinking incoming line to connect the A-end.
Route the Call: Click the same cord slot again to pick up the B-end. Then, click the correct destination jack.
Look Up Numbers: Some callers won't give you a direct jack number; they'll give you a name instead. Press B to open your phonebook and find their assigned jack.
Pranks & Hangups: Watch out for prank calls that don't have a valid destination. If you see a red blinking lamp, the call is over—right-click the cord to pull it and free up the line.
WASD: Keyboard and mouse required. Partly.
Features:
Rapid-fire multitasking: handle up to 6 incoming lines and 12 destination jacks with only 5 cords.
Strict score penalties for dropped calls, wrong connections, and exceeding the ring timeout.
A short but detailed tutorial, you be good to go after finished it, guaranteed.
Actually I just made those up. It ain't hard at all, you literally can't even fail in this game. Just chill out and vibe in the mini-game.
Don't panic. Check the phonebook, listen to the caller, and remember to pull the cords when the lamps turn red. Good luck, OperatOr.
I loved the phone calling system it was fun and felt creative. The entire atmosphere was nice too and the sound was good.
Some feedback: I experienced a lot of lag playing the game, maybe it could be better optimized? Another thing the tutorial didn't make super clear where I got the info for where to connect the caller to or what type of call it was, some more help on those would be good.
The wiring mechanic is really well designed and fun, though I would have liked a bit more variety as the game went on. The horror atmosphere is very effective, especially the sound design.
I got a little confused by the later part of the game. I wasn’t sure why some doors could be opened while others couldn’t. One door opened onto a wall, and after that I heard knocking that became increasingly urgent. It really startled me on my first playthrough, but then the game ended before I understood what was happening.
I tried again and searched for another route or door once the knocking started, but reached the same ending. I may have missed a clue—was there something I was supposed to do at that point?
@lvdou2nd You got everything, the truth is we just ran out of time after making the basic wiring mechanics and atmospheric stuff, so the ending can be quite confusing. We tried to convey that there is something locked behind that wall—and since they even build a wall to lock it up, it must be serious. But in the end, it was just all in our heads.我去我都看不出来哪个是翻译了,总之结局就是音效一直追着玩家,不管做什么都摆脱不了,感谢你认真探索了我们混沌不堪的关卡😂
Awesome entry! Simple to pick up, nicely tuned difficulty, and fits the theme smoothly. Had a blast trying it out! Left top scores for you! Another switchboard game haha nice, I guess a lot of people had the same idea (myself included) Although you added quite the twist once it became a horror walking sim or whatever that was? (Very cool, and I almost missed that part when I thought it was simply a highscore game)
Sadly I did not find any exit. In the level with the golden lever after exiting the first door there were only static doors that were locked or not interactable.
Regarding the switchboard section: This was nice and worked well once I figured out that they were telling me where they wanted to connect before actually connecting to them. I think I managed to get all of them right and in time.
Clearly this game was not quite done, since its so ambitious thats not surprising. It's basically two different games in one.
Very cool concept but not the first horror-twist I've seen on the switchboard-likes.
DAMN!!!! Here I was playing a nice little phone operator game, and the suddenly it's a first person horror game!! VERY nicely done. And in 72 hours, amazing!
That rusty room around the switchboard already looks unsettling, even before anything happens. Having to look up names in a phonebook while the calls keep coming is a good use of the old equipment.
Left my ratings. If you have a moment, we'd appreciate a rating on our game too: Robot Workshop.
It was genuinely cool to step into the role of the operator and try to juggle all those incoming calls before the timeout. The pressure of managing the old switchboard made the mechanic feel really tense and engaging. Great work on capturing that specific night shift vibe!
Interesting twist how a minigame turned into a horror game. The horror elements are actually well done — the atmosphere land effectively. That said, to me the former part is more interesting, and I personally tend to prefer unique gameplay ideas over horror content. Still, nice work on making the horror section effective.
Didn't expect to be spooked. I enjoyed the operating part, maybe it was the music or the clear enough gameplay. Either way, it felt bit hectic at times, in a good way.
I think you can just hold a line by picking the caller but not connecting?
