We decided to make a visual novel based on the idea that the Project Pigeon was a resounding success, and that, because of that, all of modern automation and technology relies on trained pigeons instead of computing.
The story follows Liam, the protagonist, during the first day at his new job in this world.
We used the Ren'Py engine to make this game, and we designed, drew, wrote, composed and programmed everything from scratch. There wasn't any AI used in the making of this project.

I had absolutely no idea where that was going to lead, but I greatly enjoyed the journey! The writing was great, the humor landed for me, I liked the art, and the sweetly melancholy rooftop toast at the end was a vibe. Plus the music was awesome as well!
My only real feedback (and this is mostly a matter of taste) is that I would have enjoyed more agency during the story. Even if the story had a fixed end point, having some options to choose during dialog would have helped keep me more engaged with the visual novel as an interactive medium, rather than just as a comic.
Overall though, I liked this quite a lot! You accomplished what you sought out to do very well! I'm also delighted to have learned about the pigeon project as a result of this game, so thank you for that

Fun story and nice artwork and audio! Like another commenter said, I would've liked more to do during the story. I was also a little confused about what to do dung the pigeon training process, but eventually made it through. Great job!
