Punch Card 0

co-authored: @knnnpr, @zhele
Humanity has become mired in punch cards: people communicate with them, they give them to their friends and family. However, there will always be those who try to corrupt them. But to keep that from happening, you have decided to take a job sorting punch cards. Good luck, Operator C!

Great ambiance, visuals, and sound design! There are a few typos, but nothing too major. I was a bit confused by some mechanics at first: after photo was exposed all black, took a long time to figure out that you could hang on photos to develop them. I also struggled to figure out how to use the cassettes and tried to get the signal to 100 before realizing you had to press E to play the tape. The game also feels a little slow-paced, with days being quite long and perhaps too many punch card to handle each day.

Overall, while horror games aren't usually my cup of tea, I still found the overall experience pretty enjoyable!

Cool mechanics! I love the graphics and the models. The mood is perfect. But the game is too scary for me.😰😰

@gamescodedogs Thanks !
@mikhailne Thank you !!
@zectalier Oh, Yea I understand you about game being slow-paced, I should've made a bit less punchcards for levels. To develop photos you need to screen them under the thingy in the developing room (it has a red light under it) and after that you can hang them

@segtree Thank you so much! I am kinda scaried of horrors too, never finished any of FNAF games

Nice Graphics, I didn't fully understand it tho and ended up not being able to destroy the cards.
AppleJollyGardenauthor19 Oct 2026, 22:14
@bjoernm Thanks! To destroy the card you need to decrypt it: extract and develop a photo, extract a cassette to analyze it for paranormal or just the text, after that you extract your punch card (if it has strange symbols, you just need to inspect it in computer or any other way

The atmosphere is so awesome... I always loved some low-poly gloomy style games (Buckshot Roullette for example) and this is just something else.

I really liked the atmosphere and the PS1-style graphics. A mysterious, dark room—you get the vibe right away. It’s intriguing to try and figure out what’s going on.
The only thing I’d change is the speed of the dialogue; it appeared on screen very slowly at the beginning :)

The gloomy, PS1-era grainy workroom gives those ordinary punch cards a wonderfully sinister feel. I like the idea of a whole society sending cards to friends and family, then making the operator responsible for spotting something corrupted among them. I got kindof some matrix+cyberpunk vibes from this. Nice work!

Awesome, your game is magnificent! I had a blast playing it, really cool stuff!
perrarancino20 Oct 2026, 06:52
this one has such a nasty little atmosphere, the punch card sorting loop got its hooks in me way faster than i expected. the photo developing thing confused the hell out of me at first too, i spent way too long staring at a black photo before i figured out you can hang them up lol. same with the tapes, i was trying to get the signal up before realizing i had to actually press e to play the thing. once it clicks though it's really damn good, the sound design especially. good stuff

Great job on this project! The art style and audio work really well together, creates a great atmosphere. Super impressive what you managed to pull off within the jam deadline!
Rated! We’d also love to hear your thoughts on our entry if you have some time!

Really good. Love the mood and graphics even if i dislike horror in general.
Little hard to understand at first where thing are and what to do.
Just i been kill and get a gameover over 2 fault, but don't really understand the fault.
I had validate 2 corrupt thing but don't understand how it was corrupted.
- The first one is a record that have people talk but blank noise making hard to understand, i had 98% of signal and just thinking "ok it's a record with wind or shit that make a natural white noise".
- For the second, it's a crypted message, and when i find the key to understand it, it was about a too low permission access to a file, why it should be corrupted ? Do the file was like something anyone can access or did i missread something ?

@isline Thank you for your comment! About the first one, I guess there was a distortion or maybe a voice/whisper ( I guess this one with "I will kill you").
The second one has a disturbing file text. In the very end of the text message there is a sentence "Computer_Lung.KOBJ".I think it wasn't really that clear, but I do appreciate the critic, so we can make a bug fix for a game in a future and maybe a rebuild

The mood is amazing. Idea of a world where we never stopped using punch cards is also very interesting.

Great idea and atmosphere! Everything looks relly good and creates that loneliness time at job at night. If there will be mystery story in punch cards that you need to solve it would be a banger.
Love it!

This is a great entry. For some reason, I got a lot of Iron Lung vibes from this. The atmosphere is great, and even the minimal sound design works. Good job.

Sorting punch cards with photo developing and cassette analysis is a creepy and original premise, and the mood and models get lots of praise. The pacing sounds a bit slow with long days, but the atmosphere looks great. Nice work!
