Scavenger Bot

You play as a scavenger bot that has been reactivated years after a major space battle. Your mothership has been destroyed, and you're trying to get home. There's lots of wreckage around that you can probably use to help you, but enemy drones and other scavengers are scattered throughout the debris as well.
If anyone is able to finish the game, I'd love to see a screenshot of the ship you have by the end! Here's my favorite of the ones I made during testing:

I'm particularly interested in feedback on the actual ship building/scavenging aspects of the game - Of course it's somewhat challenging, but is it fun? Are the different shapes and varieties of modules interesting? How often do you run into weird physics issues? Do you feel like you're able to actually fly and use the ship you build? Etc.
This is in some way inspired by these things:
- Stellaris (specifically Distant Stars)
- Captain Forever (the old web version I played in like high school)
- Starcom: Nexus and Starcom: Unknown Space
I'm sure this is a common idea and there's probably many other pieces of media that have a similar concept.
About 2 hours after the Jam time ended, I've put up a post-jam version with no changes other than some slight physics improvements. Hopefully, this should make ships a little less inclined to violate conservation of angular momentum and fling themselves into the void.
