It’s a sewing game(based on old-tech: sewing machine). At least, that was the plan.
Step on the pedal, steer the needle, stitch colorful scraps into something usable, then cut out whatever your customers ordered—a heart, a sock, a pair of pants, or something that can legally be described as a cat. Match the colors and they’ll pay you handsomely. Get it wrong and they’ll become upset, refuse to pay, and make you question why you opened this shop in the first place.
The fun comes from introducing your left hand to your right hand, teaching them to cooperate, and eventually becoming the highly qualified sewing-machine pilot you were clearly born to be.
Naturally, we’ve provided a highly professional working environment. Cats will sleep on your fabric, neighborhood gossip will get your attention, paint buckets will fall over, and the upstairs neighbors are renovating. Someone may also put their hand directly under the needle, but our lawyers assure us that’s not your problem.
Final savings: 5410 I enjoyed the game, figured out I can change the direction of the stitching halfway through day 1. It's an interesting color matching puzzle. I like when the orders work with what's already available with little effort.
The presentation is fantastic: the menu where you literally cut your order out of the cloth, the hand, the thread and the bold cartoon style all feel great. Gameplay-wise it reminded me a lot of the recent dress-making games, so it didn't feel very new to me, and like others I found the orders a bit tight on time. A twist of your own on the sewing loop would make it stand out more. Very polished compo entry!
Really cool how the mechanic is build into the start menu! It took me a while to understand the stitch mechanic, but was fun when I got it. The movement felt a bit weird at first, but actually makes sense for a stitching machine.
I love the game, it's so fun the way you control the sewing machine, the sounds and artwork are cute, the tutorial is very explicit without words and you want to perfectly cut and sew the pieces, perfect for ADHD
Judging from the cover, the day I was struggling to submit my own game, I decided that I will play this game and indeed, love it!!! Great job finishing such a game in 48h!!! So funny how I stitched cloths together without a plan in mind and then later picked them up realizing that I now have a huge chunk. Took me a bit of time to get used to the controls, but indeed such machines are a bit tricky to learn in the real world so I guess that's ok. Very creative art pieces and music. (really like the customers who only want one color. maybe add some more time for trickier customers, or in the lottery box add some tools, for example a one-time usage pair of scissors to cut a previously woven together piece of cloth)
Didn't understand the sewing part at first but after that it was a really original game. With good sound design and graphics. Also love the cat, please next players, try to not sew the cat.
Pretty cool game, i really like the art and the feeling of everything, I only hoped there was a chill mode, or a better explanation on how to use the tools given. I figured out at the end of my first game that the sewing machine was useful.
Really fun game! Love the art style, the concept, the sound design, and the overall atmosphere! Everything fits together really well, and the sewing mechanics are surprisingly fun and satisfying!
One suggestion would be to add difficulty settings (Easy, Medium, Hard), as the game can feel a bit too fast on a first playthrough, especially when you're still figuring out the controls and trying to manage everything at once. A more gradual difficulty increase would make it easier to get into the game without taking away the challenge.
The little distractions and chaotic moments are a great touch too, they make the gameplay even more entertaining!
Overall, really creative and well-executed game, especially for a game jam. Great job! :D
Really an innovated and interesting game! It makes me feel like truely working on a sewing machine, everthing is really wonderful. The art style is cute and suitable, also the music is good. I love this game :D
I had a lot of fun playing this, engaged from start to end. The movement of the stitcher was fun, spamming spacebar felt good for speeding up. I liked the way I was able to reuse offcuts of fabric by stitching those together.
I felt like the base difficulty was fine, a harder difficulty or more of a ramp up would have been welcome.
Congrats! Lovely hand-drawn art and a charming little robot sewing machine. I loved that the menu teaches the core idea by cutting your order out of the cloth, and the comic "GOOD!" burst when an order pays off feels so great. Well done!
