Subaquatic Demise
You are on a mission to deliver VITAL intelligence to General Lyesenhower, but to do so you must navigate through waters infested with enemy submarines. All of the other submarines were in use by qualified pilots, so you must use the State-of-the-art, 45 year old XL5-JGRF2, or as the last crew called it, "The Steel Kidney."
Your System rooms(Engines, Weapons, and Sonar) will degrade over time and turn red, direct your 1 crew member to fix them. If you are hit by even a single enemy torpedo you will die, so watch out for them in the sonar view.
Good luck soldier, and try to die somewhere easily salvageable!
tip: You still move as long as the engines are on, even when the sonar is disabled or you are in the crew view
Controls:
Left click while in Sonar view to shoot a torpedo at enemy ships and missiles.
Left click on your crew member and then a room to have them begin fixing it.
Press shift to stop your submarine instantly
Press space to switch between Sonar view and Ship view.
Press W to go forwards, S to go backwards, and A and D to rotate the ship.

Missiles also seem to appear really close, to the point that I'm not sure how to defend them without constantly eyeing the sonar and just peeking at systems every so often for a second to check if you need to move the crewmember.
There's clearly something here but I think a tutorial would have gone a long way towards explaining the mechanics. I get that it's not always possible to build on in time for the Jam though.
Either way, it seems to do what it says on the tin, and I did have decently lived runs that felt hectic in a good way. Nice work!
If you have a minute later to check out more jam projects, we’d love if you took a look at our game Meow Bomb as well. Best of luck with the jam!
