In Tech Tree the Game, you have a tech tree and must build a car. Each turn, you can change one technology. If this technology is gray (not researched), you are not sure about the effect (you can see how much it affects stats, but not what stats are affected).
You can see the stats of your car at left. The goal is to be in the specifications.
Here are the goals: * Tutorial: >50% safety and >0% Speed * Level 1: >80% Speed and >50% safety (Note: you lose if speed is more than 50% AND safety less than 50%) * Level 2: >50% Safety >50% Speed >20% Confort and <90% Price
Goals are stated in game when starting the level, but you can't see them after that, so I displayed them here.
The game is very rough, but there is an end screen.
Have a nice play !
Tools used: * Inkscape * Rust / Bevy * Vim * No GenAI
Nice concept: prototyping a car from a tech tree, where each part pushes stats up and down and building a model reveals new technologies, is a fun little design puzzle. The +++/- notation is clear once the tutorial explains it. Visually it's very bare right now, and some feedback on the car itself (a drawing that changes with the parts, or a short review after each prototype) would make each build feel more rewarding. Good base to expand!
I've read the texts 3 times, but unfortunately could not understand the game. I get the idea, and something changes, but I did not quite get the controls. Sound like could be fun game with great depth, just needs more visualization, even tho I uderstand this is meant to be abstract like game.
I had trouble remembering the specifications for the last car but fortunately it was written here in the description ^^ Once I had that, it made sense and was quite fun juggling the cards around
Not so sure the "only one change at a time" really adds value though
The last car was fun: unlock everything. Damn too expensive. Try to reduce cleverly :)
