*When dictators control the radio waves and the cables, the last revolution will be printed on lead and paper. Old Tech is the only tech they cannot turn off.*
You run a small newspaper office. Officials want favourable headlines. Neighbours bring rumours. Some visitors leave money on your desk.
LISTEN. ARRANGE. PUBLISH.
- Listen. Hear their stories and decide whom to trust. - Arrange. Fit their clippings onto the page. Save a story for later, or leave it out entirely. - Publish. Stamp the finished edition and face the next day's visitors.
There is only so much room on the page. What you print shapes public opinion, the city's future, and your own.
Five endings await. The final headline depends on what you send to print.
i'm in LOVE with everything, the game is fun, the graphisms are great and the overall vibe is just what i like in that time of year!!!!! Amazing job :D
Unfortunately the game doesn't start on macOS (latest Chrome). In the logs there are something about the fmod initialization. But screenshots and gifs look amazingly well!
@gamescodedogs We’re very sorry that it’s not working. This is really sad news for us. It never even occurred to us that something like this could happen. We told our sound designer to keep things quick and simple, but he wanted to level up his FMOD skills :)
At first glance I already fall in love with the graphics, with the old cinema styled intro and newspaper style (not sure how to describe it). I like your itch page decorations as well. Funny how the characters burp out their words. The motion and screen movement are really smooth and it is interesting to play, filling out the pages and making my own decisions on which content to fill. The stamp is very satisfying and I actually have the urge to stamp the full page.
The art style is absolutely gorgeous! I wish the game had a Chinese translation, as I had a hard time following the text, but I still felt really immersed. Great job!
The concept of balancing the ‘official' story against the raw rumors really gives the game a compelling tension. It's fascinating to play a character who is navigating the difficult line between making a profit and making a real impact on the city. You've created a fantastic premise!
Very cool mood and graphics. I really enjoyed reading the little pieces of news (I did not read all of them, there were a lot, but always good surprises).
@tomtomgome Thanks! We really put in the effort—everyone on the team worked on their own articles :) Some even decided to create their own illustrations for them.
Really cool theming and presentation. The art is great and the presentation is a complete package. Nice use of the gameplay elements telling a cohesive story. Great job!
WOW... Fantastic art style!!! Same goes for the gameplay. I find it hard to keep track of the dialogs though, cause they kept interrupting me in the beginning, and I didn't realize they can affect the plot. A notebook keeping track of what had happened would be great, and the frequency of conversation could be reduced, giving more time for core gameplay.
@crotonyl-alcohol Yeah, now that I think about it—following what you said—it actually makes a lot of sense. We did have some other ideas for polishing the game, but we just ran out of time :(
A fantastic interpretation of the old technology theme! Running an underground newspaper in a world where dictators control modern communication is a compelling premise.
10/10 for aesthetics. I played through a couple of times to get the different endings. Seems like what you actually put on the paper doesn't affect anything, so much as the dialogue options. I'd recommend making that clearer. Everyone still pays you if you promise to run their ads, even if you don't actually do it. Otherwise, I loved it~
@maakole Yes, unfortunately, we didn’t manage to refine these aspects—we simply ran out of time. It’s a real shame; the game could have been much more engaging—for instance, by creating a stronger connection between the newspaper and the dialogue, incorporating more branching conversations, and having the newspaper actually influence the game world.

I also really liked the camera effect.
There is not much to critic here :)
And the game as a whole is really well put together. It's just a pleasure to play!
