This Way Up

Help Clappy find his way up, but careful: don’t tip him over the edge!

Grind some gears as you navigate a woogie boogie world inspired by Piet Mondrian. Old meets new in this 3D puzzler.

Controls

- WASD: the usual
- Arrows: camera
- Mouse: camera if you want it, enable in Settings -> Controls, both in the start menu and in-game menu
- Space: hop
- Escape: menu

PSA: If you get stuck, use "Restart" in the in-game menu.

Settings

Settings menu has options for graphics and controls.

If you're experiencing performance issues, try disabling graphics features until the issues go away.

HDR output is used by default if it's available and supported by the rendering API (i.e., not on OpenGL/WebGL).

Builds

Web, MacOS arm64, Linux x86_64 and Windows builds are available.

- Web builds will use WebGPU if it's advertised and supports required features, otherwise will fall back to WebGL. The separate WebGL link will go straight to WebGL rendering path.
- MacOS arm64 build will only use Metal backend; x86 build may come later if there is any interest in it
- Linux x86_64 and Windows x64 builds will use Vulkan by default if it's available, otherwise will fall back to OpenGL (`-R OpenGL` command line option forces OpenGL renderer on both architectures).
