This is my entry for the MiniLD, and first entry ever to any Ludum Dare by my own.
I just today realized about it, so I did my best with so little time in hands. Im not a programmer so I used renpy (wich I find fabulous) and some of my little art skills to make the best drawing posible.
The game is an interactive introductory chapter to a romantic interactive fiction game with a 17th century politics plot set in the country of Corral.
This would make a really cool visual novel! The setting is extremely creative! The courtly manner and politics really intrigues me and I would love to see more. The art you made is fantastic. You need many more characters drawn in the same way. With a little more polish, spell checking, and a host of similar characters this would make a very original and interesting game. Well done.
This was an interesting introduction. Although I felt like my choices didn't really make a difference, that's how most introductions go. The art was great. The map images really helped to show how countries were located. the only things missing are spell/grammar checking and making sure that you don't use the menu feature to only give one choice.
Love the sense of intrigue & as others have said I'd really like to play this as a longer game! I've noticed on the Ren'Py forums that many folks get help from other forum members proofreading their games before release; maybe that would be useful to you in this project.
