Congregation

This game is from the old Ludum Dare platform. You can try viewing the original page on Web Archive
(may not load correctly).
humor2.00: 2.00
A game based around the placement of tiles. You need to be quick and manage the positions of your minions well or your going to get beaten by the opponents.

WASD or HJKL will move the view
Q and E to rotate the current tile
Left Click to select a unit
Right Click to move him to a location

Standing in a city will increase your FoV based on the size of the city. If you stand in a city and you are the sole owner of it, every now and then, new minions will spawn in that city. The bigger the city, the more minions you get.

There is no single player mode, only a multiplayer (sorry) but playing against yourself isn't too bad.

You win when all the other opponents have no minions left alive.

Note, in the readme, I spelled Matthew Pablo's name wrong. The correct website is matthewpablo.com

I saying that though, I still need to implement music, so nothing is played at the moment.

Post compo changelog. (04/08/2013)

A lot has changed here, just looking through the git logs. Remember everyone playing has to run this version. The desynchs would be quite amusing though.

* More then doubled the number of hats
* Made the path finding more then 30 times faster
* Fixed a bug where the windows version kept producing the same tiles
* Added a timer to show when your minions will respawn
* Added different probabilities for the different tiles
* Doubled the time between spawns
* Removed the main menu (isn't really needed)
* You can right click and drag to move the view
* Added an indication of the number of minions which are spawning
* Shows a tip when you're waiting for a connection
* Fixed a bug which caused minions to spawn incorrectly
* Removed the infinite loop when an assertion failed (very useful for debugging because the application then doesn't close so you can just hook a debugger onto a running application)
* Added a few new graphical touches

* Added music and sound effects
* Changed the selection rectangle colour to match yours
* Fixed the collision resolution code
* Updated the windows and linux build to SFML 2.1
* Bundled linux libraries with executable
* Included source code snapshot in the archive

On linux, or if you can extract it on windows, grabbing the .tar.xz file is recommended as it is smaller and has the correct file permissions.

Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the files above, only to the post compo executables, which you can find on github.
