Love Squad is an RTS where killing has been replaced with the sweet and tender act of spreading love and understanding around the world.

There was supposed to be a whole bunch of things in this, but it's pretty much the first game I've ever made so I could not implement almost anything. There's a total of two sound effects and one 'song' that was supposed to be a placeholder.

The game is made with the Adventure Game Studio, which proved to be a silly choice for an RTS. It also means the game only works on Windows straight out of the box. If you have Linux or OSX or something like that, you can possibly download the AGS engine to play my game from here: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/ags/

I haven't really tested this much, just played through it a few times. If it does not work or you find bugs, do tell and I'll try to fix them! I probably won't develop this any further for now, as AGS really really was not a good choice for developing an RTS.

CONTROLS:
Just click stuff and something will happen! Esc closes some screens.

Also, if you want some crazy customization, you can change the names in the names.txt file. Put yourself into the HEART of the action!

Hey, it's a really awesome concept anyway! A complete twist to the war setting from whence the RTS Genre sprang from. I commend you for the idea. :) Hilarious item descriptions, spells and dialogue too.

That was really funny. I couldn't get past the part where you're supposed to give chocolate to RuPaul. I couldn't find him, and the screen wouldn't scroll. Maybe a youtube video of you playing through it would help?

@superjoe it seemed like if you buy the chocolate BEFORE handling Mandy, it got bugged. It should work now and RuPaul should appear almost at the same spot that mandy was standing on. I uploaded the new version!

Ha well it gets my gf vote! she thought it was cute. Its pretty hilarious... not sure if I beat it or I just ran out of time. on level 3 I had a guy get stuck below the tree. funny stuff. INteresting social commentary on you just need to give people stuff and they will find love even if that means slaving away in a sex shop to do it!

I couldn't run this on Windows 7/64. The start screen appears and the mouse freezes. Had to alt-tab out and force quit.

@srd: Weird, runs fine on my 64 bit Win 7, so the problem must be somewhere else! Have you tried running the setup and changing the options, in case it's the graphic drivers acting up or something?

@vincepascoe glad your gf (and you too?) liked it! Level 3 is the last level, if you beat it it should show you a screen informing you that the game ended. Also, nice interpretation of the game. :)

It's working now, I think. I had to rename Love Squad.exe to rtds.exe for the setup to work. Time to play :)

The small click boxes make it rather difficult to play, but it's a very humorous experience.
