The game should run on 16/32bit windows and MS-DOS. If you're running another operating system you can use dosbox to emulate a DOS environment. If it runs slow in dosbox keep tapping CTRL+F12, this will increase the emulated CPU cycles, around 12000 cycles should be enough.
Didn't manage to "finish" and I didn't want to overshoot the usual 48hours, so I ended up with something very very short!

You made me expect more bugs/glitches than I have actually encountered (no bugs at all).
When the sign says "maybe it makes sense if the water was lava", then I think it would be cool if you changed the water tile to something redish-orange and if you jumped down you would see the water being lava from that point on :)
Fortunately I fixed most the bugs. I think I was only left with one apparent issue: On the first cannon level none of the other entities (door, signs) are animated for some reason. I decided to blame this on TurboC, which was flaky at best.

Aye, I could have went for a whole "concerned-joe" vibe, having the world change according to the dialogue. I didn't have enough time to even get a good amount of levels done, though! It was a bit of a shame I had to spend so long battling with TurboC.
Had quite a painfully low framerate on dosbox on linux.
You need to run at about 12000 cycles in dosbox, you can increase the cycles by pressing CTRL+F12 repeatedly while it's running. For some reason it defaults to 3000 cycles. For comparison, you need about 32000 cycles to play Doom at a good framerate.
