EDIT: Original 7h version removed, but post-compo is only 12h still. Added multiplayer and Kongregate API. Just tell me if you want the original version.
I made this really small game in about 7 hours, mostly during a train trip. Although I couldn't spend a major amout of time on this, I needed something to do during that trip for sure! Although simple and rough, I'm still happy with finishing the mechanics, scoring and win/loss conditions in such short time.
Pen Racer is based on a game originally played with pen and paper. You control a race car and need to finish one lap.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Each turn you can move to any grid position in a 3x3 area. The middle of the area is centered around the spot where you would arrive by moving the exact same as your last turn.
This gives the effect of momentum - you can at most decelerate or accelerate one unit per turn, along each axis.

I know the graphics are really rough. I know that "I'm not an artist" is not really a good excuse, but "I did it with a touch pad on a bumpy train" might be more like it! Anyway, I hope it does the work and kind of fits the pen and paper style.
