ArkaVaders

My game is a mash up of Arkanoid and Space Invaders. Shoot the enemies with your laser 'ball' and advance to more and more enemies as your score increases...

Use Arrows or A/D to move side to side and bounce the laser to destroy the invaders.

This is a clever twist on two classic games and well executed. I think it would have worked a little better if the ball/bullet was faster and the ship had a wider bounce area (maybe represented by a force field or something, I don't know). ArkaLaga would be the next logical step in the progression...

I like the idea very much. The combination is a good idea, maybe I should have used that mechanic in my game. It's a very challenging game, because the laser behaves sometimes a bit erratic and the player controlled ship seems a bit too small. The laser accelerates sometimes too much and changes it's flying pattern unexpectedly. One time it flew straight up and then after collision at the top it flew straight to the left. But nonetheless it's fun to play, I managed to get to the second stage after a few attempts.
