Based on the Anim.Ace game made for gbjam 4 ( bit.ly/1gS89Tv ), Aliens Go Home Run puts you in the shoes of Sally, a young girl with a passion for baseball. When she hits a home run so hard that it flies into space, it crashes into a faraway planet belonging to a mostly-hostile race, creating a crater in the process. Now, the aliens are invading Earth, and its up to Sally to save the day!
This is a 5-level demo. Arrow keys/wasd move the player, z slides, x swings the baseball bat. Swinging while hitting up does a more narrow swing, and swinging while hitting down also does a slide. A gamepad can also be used.
Mac and Linux versions will be made available upon request.
I was playing it and in the first level I had everything except some top few. I was thinking it would be great to have more control over the ball/character and then that's when I read about the up+swing narrow shot which helped a lot.
Good game, I would like to be able to hit the bullets back at the enemies with the bat too. And I wanted to jump and swing too for more control... But hey 48 hours isn't long. Good work :)
