The Nightmares of Purple Guy

So, I'm not much of a game developer. Truth be told I only recently started properly. This is therefore my first ever fully playable game. I'll let you be the judge if it's any fun to play or not, but personally I've found it to be quite addicting cause I always want to get a better score.

As for some information about the game itself. It is a Five Nights at Freddy's inspired game, which in itself is hilarious cause I'm not that big of a FNaF fan, but how I ended up with this theme is a story for another day.

I'd say the play style is "similar" to that of Flappy Bird, but at the same time I don't feel like it's quite like that either. You have full control of your movement. There are spikes blocking your path, they move up and down and you need to get through them.

Each of the spikes you go through gives you one point with an exception which I will get to soon.

There are 3 difficulty modes. These are "Easy", "Normal" and "Hard". In addition to that in the main menu you have the option to tick off "Extreme Mode" which I will leave up to you to discover what does.

So far there are only 2 things you can come across that are counted as buffs/debuffs. Firstly you have the jump scare, which is just there to distract you if you hit it. Secondly you have the spinning icon that floats around, touching this will make your camera turn 180 degrees. HOWEVER, while this is active (it lasts 5 seconds) you get double points for going through the "hoops"/spikes.

I do recommend you play this with a controller. I don't know if a PS or any PC controller will work since I've only tried it with a 360 controller. (Keyboard will work though, but might be harder than playing with a controller)

You can see what the controls are in the menu.

Now, this isn't a great game, but I hope you find it a little fun regardless. Happy gaming!
