Push Slayer

Results of several experiments with making a more adventurous sokoban. Could certainly use many more puzzles, but this demonstrates a few different mechanical ideas that seem to show some promise.

Wow... completely missed out on the mechanic that the golden box to the right is your "companion cube" :)

While it was kinda communicated by the same color as the sword, a sentence more in the initial tutorial would have helped.... as I thought this crate would be one of the monsters.

Otherwise: Interessting game idea. I can see how this could be expanded into a bigger game. :)

Thanks guys, I did end up spending most of my time iterating on mechanics rather than designing puzzles. But I would love to spend some more time fleshing out some more puzzles (in addition to iterating on the mechanics a bit further)... especially in light of your comments.

Wow that was hard, it took me maybe 7 or 8 attempts before understanding everything (how each block behaved mostly) AND managing to beat the level x)

While this was a bit frustrating to figure out, the gameplay ideas themselves are pretty cool, a definitely bring a nice "action RPG" twist to the Sokoban. Moving the pet around and using it to break things in particular was pretty satisfying.

Good work, too bad you couldn't expand the game a bit more!
