Little Red Running Hood

Little Red Running Hood is an endless runner with a "switch" twist! Keep Red away from the wolf, but not too far! Collect apples to speed up and anvils to slow down. If the big bad wolf gets too far away then you won't be able to switch and clear the obstacles (logs) out of the way. It's all in the timing, how far can you get?

Controls
Right-Arrow: Switch Red->Wolf position
Up-Arrow: Jump
Down-Arrow: Duck

I am teeerrible at these kinds of game, but I enjoyed this one! I liked the mechanic twist, you could turn this into a mobile app using swipe up/down for jump/duck.

Nice graphics! Keeping the distance from getting too far (as well as too close) is an interesting design decision.

Very nicely presented. I love the graphical style, fantastic! It took me a while to work out the controls/ mechanics. I think the game concept is very strong, but the way the apple and anvil selection currently works is holding it back from brilliance. The timing is quite finicky. It seems like the 'indecision' message comes up even when you do time things successfully. I'd suggest something like spacing the apple and anvils much further apart and making the jump bigger so it's a lot clearer. I played 20 to 30 times and couldn't do better than 5M, but I feel like I would of really gotten into it if the selection mechanic was easier. Maybe a different sound effect for selecting an anvil or apple. Another idea would be to remove the indecision altogether, so that say you always select the apple, unless you jump in which case you get the anvil. Combined with a lenient window in which you can jump. I think there is enough to worry about playing the game without having to get the timing just right. If you wanted the timing to still be an element, the game could speed up so that once you have progressed a decent distance and got the hang of it all then the timing then becomes more important. Anyone, just my thoughts. Great effort, congratulations!
