Controls :
LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN : Move
C : Action
X + UP/DOWN : Change speed

For the theme of childhood memories, I chose the cherry tree in my former garden. It produces actually cherries, not cherry blossoms, but I put some because who doesn't love cherry blossoms ?
The game is not finished. I intend to continue development after the end of the event. If your want to be informed of any progress, leave me a message.
In the current state, if you have birds perched in your tree, you have pretty much seen all the content.
Let me know how you did and what you would like to see improved.

Quite lovely. A refreshing and relaxing little experiment.

I was a bit confused at first by the controls, then later by the seasons, but the scope is simple enough that I managed to puzzle those things out easily enough. Clever use of L-systems. Didn't see any birds, but outgrew the screen and flowered quite a bit. Wasn't quite sure what to make of the darker branches that didn't leaf until I selected them.

Will likely come back to this one.

A little tricky to navigate around the branches quickly, but this is definitely an interesting toy! I'd love to see some background changes to help indicate the seasons a little more clearly

Thanks for taking the time to comment :)
The problem with the controls has been raised by all testers so far, so it will definitely be improved in the next release.
I'm definitely considering more indications for the seasons. Actually, I had made it snow in winter, but I couldn't make it "convincing" before the deadline.

Wow really interesting game concept! The navigations should definitely be made easier somehow (though they are logical once you get used to them)...
