awesome game, always wanted to try making a topdown shooter as well but haven't gotten around to it yet. and awesome to hear papa roach in the background :D
Hi yzwijsen, thank you for playing our game! Actually, the music is homemade, but i admit that while i was composing the music i thought it was very similar.
I played for a while and it didn't seem to be getting any more challenging, so eventually I became bored. Too many power-ups is my guess. You could also work on some juiciness; stuff like: camera shake, particle effects, the whole works.
One technical problem concerning the enemy movement. There doesn't seem to be any pathfinding. Enemies get stuck on walls and happily try to shoot through one as well. Pathfinding has a lot of applications, it is well worth researching it.
Great graphics and sound and music. Reminds me of the old GTA:)
