Wow, my favorite typing game (and I have played a few of them). Really liked it. Gets really intense. Great idea and smooth execution. I didn't understand what does the black outline around a word mean.
A thing that threw me off once was when I was trying to type "sometimes" to get rid of a red square, and instead triggered a word "some". A solution that could work so this does not happen would be that the words are checked only after pressing spacebar.
