Scarecrow: Heart Of Straw, a game where you play the role of a scarecrow, scaring crows (as they are wont to do) away from corn. I don't know what Pellies it did or didn't win. I think it did fairly well, and has a rockin' crowmetal soundtrack and a mumbly farmer.
Friday 7:17pm... we have a title screen! It animates too, but this is a still picture.look, two hours later, there's corn too!Trying to make triangle strip ground, I came up instead with a plasma field... so I animated it! Looks pretty cool in motion.Working ever so dilligently..... on the title screen.Fixed the ground... it's still a dumb texture. The pathetic thing is, this is a huge 3D heightfield, but you can't tell at all. Just looks like a picture. What a waste of processor power! Oh, and the yellow guy is our temporary scarecrow.new cornstalks, and I decided people plant corn on dirt, not grass. The scarecrow is booing here, the boo hasn't come out yet, but his mouth is open. I've rendered crows too, they will go in next.Decided everything would be cuter much bigger. And finally added the crows in!! I think the scarecrow is a tad too big now.Well, now your BOOs scare the crows (one in the lower left, see his eyes bugged out?), and the crows steal corn, see many of them are carrying it.OOGA BOOGA!!the rooster is on his way down here, so you can't see much of him, but he cockadoodledoo'd day 1 into beginning. Good to know I'm working hard on the level intro. The sad current state of gameplay... on the plus side, the sprites are sorted by Z, so that's good. Still nothing you can do but stumble through the cornfieldFinally something new! The shop is under construction at the moment. Scariest part is I now have to implement all 9 of those powerups...tired of figuring out the plasma nonsense. She's helping me.
