This is a point'n'click game I consider The Sims meets Ludum Dare. It's a Ludum Dare Compo simulation game, which means it's a game about making game for Ludum Dare. Player controls a game developer who is taking part in the compo. You have to take care of gamedev's physical and psychical needs, food, hydration, sleep, conscience and overburn.
Boring facts about it:
Programing language - Lua
Game engine - LOVE
Text editor - Kate
Feel free to ask questions and give me feedback, I am available on Twitter most part of the day. Thanks for reading and playing, good luck with your games :)
BEFORE YOU SAY IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THEME:
You're totally right. I couldn't get 10 seconds into the real part of the game. But the problem has an interesting origin.
I overslept during this Ludum. When the theme was revealed, it was 3 a.m. in my timezone. Before, I set a countdown on an alarm clock I have on my desk. It took me about 5 seconds to do it. But later, when I was checking how much time's left before the reveal, I accidentally turned it off. It happened in, say, 5 seconds. Later I noticed the problem and reactivated it, but was too sleepy (it was 1 a.m.) to update the time.
I ended up waking up at 4:30. I overslept one and half an hour, because of 10 seconds. I could've set up a normal alarm clock on my phone, it would take 10 seconds too, but I didn't. Because of choosing wrong 10 seconds, I ended up having less time than others. And that's what the game was meant to be about. Later it turned out it takes too much time to explain it, so I've given up, simply continued making the simulator and added those 10 seconds to main menu for the game to have ANY association with it. Thanks for reading.
