April 4th timelog
The mission was a failure. I'd like to have claimed that I was too abitious, but I came up with a game that I thought was feasible within th available time and went about creating it, it was midnigh last night when I got to bed and the game is not a game from the corners that were cut, but it should have at least been a suitable demo. No such luck, built the code, then the levels, then the images, compiled it, removed all the bugs and what I'm stuck on is the file load with no more available time.
Here's the log:
April 5th:
11:00a.m. - Log on to net to see theme.
1:00p.m. - Doodle out a game plan, consisting of tiled levels, some ladders between the levels, and changing the tiles on the level, to lead a roller coaster from the start point down the ladders and to the finish point.
3:00-8:00p.m. - After playing Kingdom Hearts for 2 hours I begin coding, and create all of the major elements for loading and running the game.
April 6th:
8:00-11:00a.m. - More major programming to add in the load level and load images.
6:00-10:00p.m. - Program in the final bits of code making the character move, fix the render and put all the code together into one functioning piece of machinery. Create some tiles and levels.
10:00-11:30p.m. - Compile the game for the first time, no rollercoaster code included, remove all of the debugger errors, game stuck unable to load tiles. Zip the program, make the image, submit.
April 7th:
7:30a.m. - Write up the timelog and upload.
