Difficult! It'd be cool if, when Rudolph starts charging, you could hop on his back and it would confuse him enough to run him into the wall and stun him for a few seconds so you could get a few shots with the whip in.
If someone is determined to get those presents delivered. First form is relatively easy when Rudolf walks. You hit once and back up a bit and repeat. For the second phase it can be a bit hard to get that jump whipping to work but, one good place to do it is from the right side bale stack. Also the pattern is always the same.
Thanks for all the comments. Last phase is inspired by Dracula's second form in Castlevania 3
Pretty hilarious! I agree with plauk, animation is awesome. Movement's a bit clunky, and I especially would've liked to be able to aim my whip upwards when Rudolf turned into a (SPOLIER!) giant flying demon head thing.
Really nice for a 9h game! Solid gameplay and good animations. One thing that bugged me was having no air control, but that was more than evened out by the fun I had smacking Rudolph. Good job overall!
I really liked the single boss battle, they're often some of my favorite LD games. It was lots of fun, but very hard. I finally beat the reindeer, thought I was finished, but was pleasantly surprised that there were more forms. Unfortunately, I never made it past the 2nd form... were there others? I think I would have had a better (and probably easier) time, if I could change my horizontal direction in the air. Was there a reason you didn't allow that?
Impressive for 9 hours. The spriter animations looked great. A very nice little LD entry.
A bit sad there weren't sounds, this would have added nicely to the game. Good job on the animations even if the control/timing felt a bit stiff because of it.
I laughed when I got to the second form. Hard game to beat, I haven't so far, probably won't, but I recon a nice realisation and a funny idea.

Yes it's Spriter. Santas arms are just in a bit weird position.
Pretty solid for 9 hours.
Fun game!

Very hard, could not beat head. But had a laugh when that stage of the fight happened.
Congratulations!
Anyways good stuff.
The game is rather hardcore but like the challenge. Controls seem a little bit "unresponsive" though.

No there was only two forms. The jump control is a some sort of tribute to NES Castlevania's I think :)

Good job making this game in 9 hours !
