It's time to protect the best Christmas tree in the forest from ruthless lumberjacks!
Help a little snowman to protect the tree and beautify it by collecting carrots brought by rabbits. Throw snowballs at lumberjacks, bring carrots to the tree, and have fun!
Controls:
* A/W/S/D or Arrows to move * Mouse Click to throw snowballs
Rules:
* Collect 10 carrots to decorate the tree * Don't let lumberjacks to chop the tree * Avoid lumberjacks or you'll be melted
Tested and playable in Chrome and Firefox on PC. Not sure about Safari and Opera, but should work as well.
Haha, nice work! Love how almost everybody makes a game about snowmans. But this game fits the actual theme aswell. Love the animations of the snowman.
I am pretty sure the snowman is the bad guy here, murdering lumberjacks and stealing carrots from rabbits. Towards the end I was half-expecting the cops or army to come in to try and take down the monster.
Gameplay wise I felt like the difficulty was a bit flat and on the easy side, there didn't seem to be any more or harder obstacles towards the end than at the start and I won on the first try. I couldn't really tell how near the tree was to being destroyed, how many hits does it take?
Initially, I thought it was just another top down shooter, but then I noticed the carrot collecting spin. Also really loved the graphics. Nice, well rounded game.
Decently made one-screen shooter, not enough response or impact when hitting or killing enemies. I'd recommend (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJdEqssNZ-U), a talk by the devs at vlambeer with some tips that would improve any action game (including yours!)
Very nice game. I like the graphics very much. The carrot in the snowmans hand was my highlight. I've noticed it after the 5th carrot or so. Very well done. Thank you for your game.
Cool graphics, sounds are OK but fit their role of warnings once the the player grasps the concept. At first I thought the carrots were not enough noticeable, and in the first moment of play, you are not sure what exactly to do in the game. The carrots disappear pretty quickly and are sometimes hidden by the trees.
From the moment you start to pay attention to their spawning sound, it becomes easier to go and fetch them right away.

Luckily snowmen can run indefinitely and are much faster than lumberjacks.
