“Aliens! I need your D. N. A.” – Some random post-jam thoughts
Now that we are finally resurrected from the Ludum Dare super-epic-mega-tough weekend, we have some time to make things like this, a compilation with some of the art in our game, “Aliens! I need your D. N. A.” ( http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-32/?action=preview&uid=53051 )
Now for real, it sure was a hell of a weekend, but I’m not saying by any means it didn’t worth it.
This was our first Game Jam, so we are kind of noobs here, but hey, I think we did get something. And I’m not talking just for the game we developed, but also the inherent experience that it carries. You can’t really test yourself until you do it seriously. I’ve personally developed some games by myself, but it’s a totally different feeling when you have a deadline so tight, and you have to work as a team, including all the decision making, efficiency limit, and work integration.
What I’m trying to do, is to encourage “noobs” like we were to dare to jam and test theirselves, because only giving your 100% is how you keep improving in life. End of the philosohpic moaning. Now go out there and MAKE SOME GAMES, DAMMIT!
P.S. To soften the mood, here is some gameplay of our apparently super-hard game, try it out and tell us if you enjoyed it!
