Welcome to Type Fighter.
You received a letter in the mail, and somehow its words hurt you. To travel to your local library to seek guidance in this matter.
In this game you fight enemies who throw hurtful words at you. The goal is to reveal their secret fear phrase by successfully typing the attack words they shout before they strike you. If you get hit, the progress that you have made will be reduced.
Opponents also use wordy magic to make things more tricky. If an opponent casts a spell, the spell they cast will appear over them. You can counter an enemy spell by casting the counter-spell: simply hold SHIFT and type the spell name backwards.

How to Play:
Keyboard required; sorry mobile users...
Type to stop the attack words before they hit you
Hold [SHIFT] and type the spell word backwards to cast the counter-spell
Once the secret fear phrase has been revealed, it will lower itself on the screen. Type the phrase before the timer expires to successfully defeat the opponent.
Sorry we can't embed the game here on the Ludum Dare site, the embedded frame doesn't catch key events... :(
