This isn't really a game. It's more of a data visualization.
This is a visualization of all of the people buried at Arlington Cemetery. It uses google maps to show a top-down view of the cemetery, and cross-references that with data from the Arlington Cemetery API (yes, apparently that's a thing) to show information about people buried near you.
You control the red pointer. Use the buttons (or your arrow keys) to walk around Arlington Cemetery. Information about the people buried near you will display on the right.
Take your time. All of those little white dots were people.
Bandwidth warning: This downloads about 250 MB of data (in the background).
As for a connection to the theme, I purposely left that up to the "player" to decide for themselves. I'm not making a political statement or anything, but I will say that walking through Arlington in real life leaves me with a feeling of... complicity... that I can't quite explain in words, and this "game" was my attempt at capturing that emotion.
