Really mismanaged my time this go around; I spent way too much time on the artwork, and as a result the game I _was_ working on didn't really get close enough to call 'done'.
I was just going to quit and try again next time, but I still had an hour left, so I took a shot at putting together a prototype using puzzlescript. Pretty short, but it shows a little bit of what I was thinking. I included a screen shot of the game I abandoned for comparison, and you can mess around with a buggy version of that at using the "first attempt" link below.
