Techno Tenement is a little tower sim game about surviving the apocalypse in a destroyed prison tower. Build farms and generator rooms to provide food and power to your survivors.
> In the, not too, distant future, human kind has taken a dark path. A path of desolate and baron wastelands that is incapable of sustaining life. We have chosen to not die off but to build our way to a brighter tomorrow. > -- some guy
The end result isn't quite a finished game, but we accomplished some cool stuff:
* 7 unique room types * Worker AI that search for ways to keep busy * Original dynamic soundtrack that changes based on the events in game. Meet all of these conditions to hear the full track: - Have positive Food income (listed in the upper right). - Have positive Energy income. - Have a construction project in progress. - Complete a construction project on the top floor. * Dynamic level generation - the game supports towers of arbitrary height / diameter * I learned what a Quaternion is
I had fun giving this game a look. The graphic style is quite unique, and the gameplay, while simple, is a lot of fun. I've never been that great at management games but the variety and themes that they can have are awesome.
The models are really nice and the background music is great. I loved that the rooms aren't all on the same face like most other similar games and that you could rotate the building to view the other rooms.
Some things that could be added:
- A way to see how much time is left before the workers complete a task
- A way to cancel a task (i removed one of my rooms by accident)
Keep up the good work!
