First time joining ludum dare, originally wanted to join the compo but missed the submission time, so posting here. I couldn't complete it but still wanted to share it.
My idea was to make dungeon crawler - horror game with a shapeshifting labyrinth.
I created the labyrinth with predefined rooms. When you move to a room, the rooms further then you gets deleted, if you try to return the previous rooms they would be different.
Probs are randomly generated at some locations. There is non working portals on the labyrinth, they were meant to be starting(white) and finish(red) points.
When you move trough a number of rooms, a room with a red portal(finish) generates and labyrinth stops changing.
Really loved the claustrophobic-inducing mood, if you threw a monster in there I would be really spooked! Brings memories of playing Vanish! I really thing you should have gone for Mood category voting, just voting for use-of-theme or graphics seems unfair.
I dig the art style, your pixel are neat. Too bad you haven't finished it, but I think it's a good idea to post it anyway. My first LD was very hard as well !
This is a nightmare! If the red portal did not appear out of nowhere you would be trapped forever. It has some potential to become a fiendishly difficult puzzle. Like, if the rooms would change in a certain pattern. Nice graphics.
Nicely done, I've always had a back-of-the-mind idea for a shapeshifting dungeon. Shame you couldnt get it completed, but whats there is a great base for a game :) I hope you keep working on it post-jam!
Great use of theme, not much in terms of gameplay unfortunately but if this was developed further with progressively bigger/harder levels, and monsters which chase you/you can fight, this could be a pretty awesome game! Keep working on it :)

I really liked the wall textures and would have liked to sneak through the rooms to avoid enemy horrors.
