Conștiență post-mortem

Heya guys!

That was our first try on the ludum dare. Actually, I’m an artist who loved games from childhood.

On the gamedev conference GameFactory people told me about the Ludum Dare contest and I thought I must make a game.

We decided to make an oldschool point’n’click game.

It was difficult without any expirience, but hey, you would not get any exp if you don’t try.

Mostly the game was made by me(artist) and my friend programmist. I made the graphics and style, colors, objects, and he was programming. We have been working for about 19 hours a day to finish this game in time.

At our country LD started at 4 o’clock in the morning, so we woke up and thinked about theme. Fortunately, the idea came up quite soon.

I regret that we had no scenarist, because I think that the narrative would be more interesting, but people say even now we have good one. I don’t know.

Also I wish we had good game-designer who could make an eclectic gameplay. But we have what we have and anyway, I’m proud of this thing. It works.

I did not even imagine that my girly-dream would come true.

In future I want to make a cyberpunk geeky game, so maybe you will see the result :)

We made the game with 3D voxels and transfered it to 2D isometric sprites to unite the objects. There were lots of troubles with the colliders and subtitetles, and we tryed to fix it with many ways, so most part of bugs we have fixed in the first day. We even made animation for her walk and breath(thanks to Boris), but actually it’s not that important in game so we will not spend our time on that next time.

Also, we’ve learned how to make a good time management and teambuildimg, so I thank the Ludum Dare for that! Even working on the big company would not teach you that like Ludum Dare would.

Thank you guys! I reallt appreciate your feedback!

You can check out our game in my profile :)
