In That Same Old Room
This game is from the old Ludum Dare platform. You can try viewing the original page on Web Archive

A kid sees herself alone in her parents apartment, as her imagination creates monsters for her to defeat.
We created the whole art, music and some of the sound effects.
There were so many other features we started but had not time to finish or fix its so many bugs in the time of the jam so we ended up with this much simpler version of what was our intention.
Our start point was to use a battle system similar to that of The Binding of Isaac and then to evolve it with story, dialogue and different upgrading mechanics. Most of it was almost ready, but we have to remove them after finding a really tough bug on the dialogue mechanics. There was also a boss fight we prepared, but chose not to include in this final version.
We learned a lot with this! Next Ludum Dare we will certainly be faster and more prepared.
Also, we recognize that there is a bug in the diaogue mechanics and that the player is walking kinda too slow (in the initial idea, after each room you would be offered options for upgrading speed and fire rate).
We wanted that people could play what actually was done until the last minute of the ludum dare time, so we did not fix any of those for now.
Hope you can enjoy this ^^
Also, thanks so much on the comments about the art! <3
