Nicely done. IMO it would be even better (and harder) if it challenged not to overshoot, by not allowing to steer backwards, or only allowed a little amount - thus punishing jumping too far.
@takusan@binaryferret Thank you for playing :) I wanted to add walking around the planet and sticking to it when not moving so he would rotate with them but it was too hard for the first time.
@jk5000 Thanks for your response. It's hard to land even for me at the beginning. It was easier before I added random position generation, but didn't have enough time to polish it.
Nice! Your game explains why a cat suddenly jumps onto a planet (this happens in my game where you play a mouse :-). What development system did you use to make your game?
The music was fun, graphic was cute and game play casual. I don't know if there's something I missed, but some times a planet spawn that's much higher above that I can't find a way to land on it.
Very hard and seems impossible if the planets spawn at certain heights, but a really nice game!! How someone got 30 I have no idea! Well done, great submission
@kcreanor@hdteav Thank you for playing. Nice score, I had about 200, but didn't have not more time for play while creating it ;) I think it's all about getting used to the mechanic, but it's random in given limit so you never know.
I like the cute graphic style, a fun gamplay. Something I like in frustarting / short games is to can restart fastly, I think you should make a restart button poping directly when you died to make the player able to restart rapidely and keep playing. Music is a bit repetitive but I really enjoyed playing Cat Ed!
Nice simple graphics, solid gameplay. My suggestion would be to take away the ability to move left and right and only let the player jump as the planets moved by. Also not being able to restart with the keyboard kinda deterred me from playing too many times. Had fun though, good game!
Very simple game, and yet really enjoyable! I'm also in my first dare and know the challenges you probably faced. Graphics were great and matched well throughout the game.
The only issue I had was that my browser window couldn't quite fit the entire game into it. So pressing the up arrow sometimes moved the window as well.
This was way more enjoyable than it had the right to be. I can't explain it, there is just some kind of charm in the art, the ridiculous premise and even the repetitive dopey music that it made me smile :D.
@mrerdalural You are right. I wanted to add a mute button, but forgot about it ;)
@fouralex, @maggardjosh, @thesand I should think about reset button or enable start using keyboards. Switching everytime to mouse can be a bit annoying
@eddynardo Just wow, I've thought it's impossible because of some situation there is no way you can reach the next planet. Now, I don't know if I should change it or it makes game more challenging.
Thank you all for nice comments and good ideas for making my game better :D

@frodewin I used Phaser with Typescript and Piskel
@avavt I added random position generation for planets just before submitting and didn’t have enough time to test it well.
High Score: 370 :sunglasses:

Thoo, you should make a button that resets the game. So you don't have to press Play everytime you die.
And maybe remove the characters ability to move left and right, only make the player able to jump. That would make it alot easier.
It was fun anyway. Great job ^^
Well done my friend, nice entry.

I tried your game out! :D
It was very simple and easy to pick up. Kind of gets difficult- like what some people said- but I enjoyed it for a quick game jam game. :D
I also do love the pixel art of it. The purple and the blue look well together! :D
It's hard, my high score is only 70. It was fun! Needs double-jump I think :) (@eddynardo with 830 score wow!)
Audio would be better with some meow-s :D
Congrats for your first Ludum Dare!
Cheers!!
