Theme: Running out of power

You've crash landed on a planet! Quickly repair your engines before the aliens take out your shields and destroy your spaceship!

Controls:

Switch between characters: number keys 1 - 7

Movement: WASD

Exit game: Alt+F4 (sorry...)

How to win:

Collect items scattered around the island and use them to repair the engines.

Tips:

* Move over a turret to fire it. Use them to hold the aliens at bay

* Move over an engine to repair it if you have any materials.

* Repairing an engine requires 3 materials.

Some characters have special abilities:

* Captain: Doubles the stats of every crew member in his quadrant

* Navigator: Walks twice as fast

* Pilot: Fires turrets twice as fast

Not all functionality could be implemented in time. These are some things we had planned:

* Engineer: Repairs shields and hull

* Medic: Revives dead crew members

* Soldier: Attacks aliens

* Scientist: Scavenges materials at twice the rate

* Aliens: Damage and kill crew members

* Oxygen decreasing over time

There is potential but the game lack of feedback to understand what is going on. Also the difficulty is way too hard right from the beginning, keeping the player from exploring his possibilities. Take it slow ^^

you say that the game doesn’t have all of the functionality you wanted, but in fact i would say that there are already too many.

Hard to know what to do and what I am even doing. Too much stuff from the start. And some explanation would be nice inside the game. Also, some audio would be nice even if it was just a laser shooting or something like that.

Liked this ! Graphics are nice, and the idea of controlling 7 characters is very interresting
However it lacked of feedback, and i couldn't beat it unfortunately. But i think it does have potential !

I think you shouldn't have blocked graphics from voting since i really liked them! To me the game was a lot of fun but very hard as well.

@pixelbukkake I blocked graphics because I didn't make them myself. They are placeholders that were meant to be swapped out later. :grin:

You should have salvaged this project on the last day. There was no point of having unfinished characters in the game. Also a restart button would have been nice!

Don't forget having a finished product is actually more important than having a ton features. Maybe you will plan your game better for the upcoming game jams.

I miss the sound effects. The game idea it's pretty cool. But would be better if you add some audio effects and musics.

This is kinda like FL wit added stress, ha ha!

Likes:
-multiple mechanics, like oxygen, damage, scavenging make for a varied game play
-super fair of you to opt out of graphics rating. Many jammers sadly don't. Have an extra star :)
-7 characters sounds like a lot but it kinda works...

Try differently:
-... But it's sometimes too much at once :)

Overall:
- I'll try to play this when I am less tired, it was quite enjoyable :)
