Publishing on a more user-friendly platform would have been super usefull... I can't install DOSbox in the computer I use at my work :(

After I was superproud that I had DosBox to play it, I failed to make Basic work with it and had to download QB64 anyway.

So yeah, it works. As for the story, it was an interesting introspective piece. The ending surprised me. I guess it's something a lot of people can relate to.

I finaly succeed to run the game with QB64. The story is interesting but quite short.

Used QB64 as well. The story seems very heartfelt. Not really any gameplay though.

A well writen piece; though a link to a good qbasic compiler would have smoothed installation. It's innovative, but I would have like to have seen it packaged with something like js-dos.

After some setup woes, I gave it a shot. It was interesting, but didn't really hold me. Cool choice on using QBASIC

Though getting a .BAS file to run is fun for some of us, you might want to put up a download bundled with DOSBox so people can just download and run it (like I did for my entry a few Jams ago when the theme was... Ancient Technology ;). Grab that .zip and replace the .bat file and you can probably have something workable in a few moments.

More of a story than a game. I still found it enjoyable.

Not much of an actual interactive game going on here. But your story telling skills are 10x better than mine!

I recommend that you add additional download bundles that include any other programs necessary to run this.

Oh my god i finally got qbasic to run and got a wave of flashbacks! I'm curious what made you choose it? Interesting story but like the other guys said not much choice

So after all the fiddling to get qbasic back up and running, it's just a story....

I was a little disappointed to find that the time it took for me to actually get the thing running was shorter than the time it took to actually run through the story. I also had hoped for some interaction beyond pressing any key to continue. It was a pretty decent story, though, for its length.

Having read @lawzy93's comment, I simply put the .BAS file in Notepad++ and read the story there. Is it a game? There wasn't much for me to *do* except read. The story is relatable, I think most people have had similar experiences. I wasn't a fan of the line "long observant glance" as a glance is by definition not long. The theme applies well enough though.

A small game in more ways than one.

I like the story, IMO the shorter the story, the better as long as it relays the message. I was excited to play a game written for retro devices. However, I was hoping for some interaction, I kept hoping for any kind of choice but... It just didn't happen :(

Anyway, nice story. I think a few branches in the story will make it more fun but it was good work though.
