Description

Bill, the drummmer to the world's most popular band, The Placeholders, needs to get to the airport as soon as possible. Help him avoid his fans and the many obstacles along the way or else he won't be able to make it to his sister's wedding!

In the midst of the Jam our Level Background Artist got sick, so we had to move on and have the first level with pretty basic art and coloring. Because of this, we were also unable to complete a third level in which the character is at the airport before he arrives to the last scene. We hope you get to enjoy the game however as we did making it. Thanks a lot!

Game looks really good! Would like to see a way to actually be able to dodge the fans but it isn't that big of a problem. the music and sound effects are really fun and the game contains a good amount of humor.

@gomango999 try again please with the new download link which says "Windows Fix" and let us know if it works! With that fix we set the game to run in a window instead of the standard full screen mode.

I like a lot of the art, especially the main character. Some of the pixel art in the background doesn't quite match, which is perhaps something to fix. The voice lines are entertaining and make for good atmosphere.

The thing I find a bit strange is how difficult this game is. I died on the first jump a dozen times. Sometimes it seems like I would clear the jump by a considerable distance, while other times, even jumping from the edge, I would completely fail to get across. Is there a delay on your return to normal speed after fans are removed? Otherwise I really can't explain it.

@themonsterfromthedeep that's really odd, when you clear the fans you should be able to jump more. We know it's difficult making the first jump with the fans on, with just one you should still be able to make it (pushing to the limit). But yeah, since we wanted people to understand how the game worked we had to make that long jump at the beginning. The rest of the pits shouldn't give you any problem tho. Also, try going backwards when a fan jumps on you so you can evade him.

Great entry, guys! A lot of work!

I liked your visuals, your game is pretty polished!

But during the paly I met a few troubles:
1. A few times I accidently clicked on a space on the loose screen and returned to menu. It will be logical to change bindings of "Space" and "Z" for this screen. Because player clicks "Space" really frquently.
2. A few jumps was pretty uncomfortable. 1st and 4th jump over a pit on the first level.

In general it is great and music really fits your visual style, I liked it)

Got the same problem, if i die i always finished the game and have to click z alot to get back in business.

Maybe the text block on start could be a bit more styled (blocky)

This game has such beautiful visuals. And a nice theme too. The voice acting was the best, though. I spent the first few minutes trying to avoid the leaping fans, but failed miserably (They see everything! Run!). Fortunately, my super bodyguard was able to get rid of them every time. Great and fitting music, good job!

Nice audio. Graphics in storyboard is beutiful. During gameplay it is hard to make out what is platform and what is background. Steering is good, but i'd like it a little bit crispier.

Wow really good entry. The fact there's a main menu, small story, options... makes it feel like a more complete product. The artstyle is great, same for the music. I think the gameplay could have been a bit more pushed(solid ?) but in general it was a really great experience:) .

I really like the graphics! Somehow they remind me of Scott Pilgrim. The game was more difficult than I anticipated due to a few difficult jumps, but the super bodyguard definitely saved the day. The main idea of avoiding your fans not to slow you down was rather clever, I only wish the autographs were easier to aim. Man, fans are so clingy these days.

The voice acting was a high point too, it really added to the mood. I'm a bit sad for Bill, though I guess he had it coming for playing at a gig even though his sister was marrying that day!

Pretty good entry! The graphics were a strong point of the game; you did a very good job with them!

One of my complaints is that it's basically impossible to dodge a fan. I was able to do it once, but I died right afterward. There is only one, single way to complete each level. I feel like the game would benefit from more decision making: should I use an autograph here, or should I save it for later? It felt as if there was only one answer to each level. You did keep me entertained for a good while, and I had fun! Nice job!
