This is my first ever Ludum Dare, and I have to say I enjoyed every bit of it!! In my game you play as a jet-pack miner who gets paid to mine ores, and can fly around in the caves you create. However the catch is that every stone block you mine costs you .25 cents! The more stone you have in the end, the worse your pay will be at the end of the timed period. You have 1 minute to dig as much as you can, the dirt and grass blocks do not hurt or help your score. You only can mine blocks within a 3 or 4 block radius around you. I hope you enjoy playing it, and give some feedback! The controls are the basic WSAD, and to mine you click with the mouse. To use your jetpack you just hold spacebar. I love mining style games. This one was fun, but I think you guys knew that. My only gripe was that I kept getting stuck after mining a block. It was as if an invisible block.
@elitegoliath I know, I was getting stuck on the physics, seems that you have to mine a little faster than you move, even though the JAM is over, I still am going to look at it and see what I can do about it! Thanks for the feedback!
Cool idea, I have a soft spot for digging games. It's rough around the edges but I see a lot of potential, and what's there is executed well. Keep it up!

Fun little miner, really appreciated having a jetpack. All games should have jetpacks. ALL GAMES. Good work, I made 700 bucks which might just about cover my jetpack fuel expenses
Fun concept, like a 2d minecraft speedrun or something. The collision seems a bit off and it was a bit annoying sticking on things alot. But overall a nice experience!
I found the mining mechanics a little tricky, I think it would be nice if I click a block away from the edge, it would mine all the way through to it, its a bit annoying when I click a block further in but can't move until the close one is also broken. I also found that the player got a little stuck here and there against the side. Idk if any of that made sense, wasn't really sure how to word it...Anyway, aside from those nitpicks, its a very fun little game, I made about 750 once!
I like the use of the theme. Having the player think quickly about the most efficient way to get to the next ore deposit opens up a lot of choices for the player.
Suggestions
When I saw the final score I felt that the cost of stone was too low. I didn't really try to reduce the amount of stone I mined and it was easily outweighed by coal, which I didn't go out of my way to get. If you restructure the game to be about trying to keep a mining company profitable and greatly increase the cost of stone, then it could make for a really interesting puzzle-type game.
It's a pretty cool entry, but it's not very innovative, and the physics need work. Also, the theme isn't obvious in the slightest here. How is the theme here?
@move127 I now realize the stone value could be too low, but I don't know if they would let me change that since it is not really a bug. But thank you so much for your input I like hearing your guys's responses!
@ncpresident35 The physics are one thing if I were to go back on that would need improvement. The theme is basically the more stone you have, the worse the profit. If you do not mine any ores then you profit will go negative. Thank you for your constructive criticism, I enjoy it!
@the-triumvirate Thank you for the response, I will definitely change the value of stone, a quick 1 minute fix, however I don't know if I can fix it, as its not a bug. I don't know the LD rules about that
Platforming physics are a bit janky. Still, I'm a sucker for Minecraft/Terraria-type gameplay. Maybe you should consider adding stone types that subtract even more from your cash? Or which takes extra time to mine?
Concerning the graphics you did a great job, I have always liked pixel art and will always do! Concerning the audio, the music was great.

Maybe you should keep the Y-axis velocity when moving the player so that we can dig down more easily.

Maybe minig stone shouldn't be that cheap.
