!Warning! -------------------------- This game is a controller based game that needs minimum 2 players to play due to the competitive nature of the game. Time Thief --------------------------- Time Thief is a local multiplayer survival game where life is incredibly valuable and fading quickly. Two to four players compete to try and last the longest each round while trying to collect as many life hearts and power-ups as possible. Each power-up contains a special property that can hurt or heal each player. Hearts, drop randomly and add small amounts health to each player, +10 to +20. TNT- creates an explosion that harms multiple players, -35 health. Cardiac arrest steals the health of whoever grabs it, -35. Glue- slows down whoever runs through it. Soul Stealer- Shoots out and whoever gets hit cannot move, damage ranges from -20 to -30 health. Life Boost- Adds a hefty boost of health to whoever grabs it, +25.
Background ---------------------------- You and your cartoon friends are trying to survive as long as you can through various stages of a predicted apocalypse. As this world is dying rapidly, so are you, fight your friends to survive by gathering the last bit of life that is leaking from your world. Do your best to survive the wilderness, the ice age, and the fiery desert. Can you be the only one to survive?
I like that kind of games but can not play local multiplayer games right now. Maybe you may add gameplay video footage for those who don't have two controllers on hand?
The rendering on the people make them look all like plastic, if they had diffrent textures, such as metal or glass, it would make the players more intresting.
@blednaya Since it is was a game to play competitively against local multiplayer friends I had it for 2+ players. Easily changeable, but I realize that makes it tough to judge if you don't have a 2nd controller, I am making a video of gameplay today for those who don't have a 2nd controller so they can at least see some live gameplay.
@slotha That is going to be my next move is to make keyboard and mouse as a controller a bind as well :D For the jam it is a local multiplayer for controllers, however I am continuing this project so we are making it playable by all.
I’m not able to play the game, due to a lack of controllers and people, so my ratings are based solely from your screenshots. The game sounds like it would be fun and I look forward to trying it in the future when I have enough people to play with.

I'll introduce the game to a few of my friends that like party games such as this! (They absolutely eat them up). Looks really good from the gameplay video!
Very fun game, I loved playing it with my friend! There's a bug where you can get slowed forever, but that doesn't happen super often. Also, I think it would be nice to have more feedback on the powerups (i.e. screen shake, particle effects, etc,). Overall, pretty good job! :)
@flywolfe I have made these edits already to have more feedback but I have not updated the game link because I want the judging to be fair for the ludum Dare jam ratings. I plan to continue this game and I'm fixing out all the little corks and bugs that I have found
@liauj that is awesome that you will spread it around! I plan to add a revised link after I fix some of the bugs and add a little bit more to it I'm thinking of continuing the project and trying to make something out of it :D
@tgiant I can increase the speed of gameplay, and I am glad you enjoyed it :D This is my 4th Ludum Dare submission. I learned ALOT from the first couple haha :)
I really enjoyed playing this game! Jusy, at first, I thought that I had to avoid the boxes though, haha x) So maybe it would be a good idea to put "pick up" on top of the first ones falling? But overall, good job ! :D
@melaniee I like the feedback! I think that is a good idea to add that in :) I am continuing this project after the jam, and fixed all known bugs thus far for future use. I added a tutorial essentially, but I can also add reminders / feedback to the players to know that it is okay to pickup! Thank you for your feedback!

Art style is very good.
It felt just a little bit too slow but was super fun.
