Oh, did you mean the controls? Well that's easy too. Use the (A,D,←,→) keys to maneuver the plate and catch all the pancakes. Keep an eye on the light bulb because it moves and changes color to indicate where and when the next pancake is coming. Don't you dare let any of my precious pancakes hit the floor or it's game over buddy!
Gameplay Tip: Make minor adjustments and move slowly, you have more time to make it to the next location than you think. Rushing around will only make things more hectic.
I bet you're thinking this technological marvel is too good to be true. There's no way someone could make a game so awesome, so amazing in such a short amount of time. I understand your skepticism. I too have been hoodwinked by developers promising the biggerest, the besterest, the absolute most splendifferous experiences ever! So I'm posting these screenshots below so you can see and experience for yourself the majesty of it all.

Interesting game, but I find it hard to move the hand left/right without the plate not dropping on the floor. How many pancakes can you collect? I once collected one before loosing. The other 4-5 times I tried I didn't collect any at all. Thumbs up for catchy music.
It certainly fits the theme! I must say it is hard enough to begin with just balancing the plate before catching anything on it. Nice little game though.
Oh wow, this is really hard... I would have loved to see mouse control, since that would allow you finder control for balancing the plate. But it's still fun!
@bobombe I tripled unity's default gravity to help with the innate floaty feel. Although it still felt a bit slow I think making it faster would only increase the difficulty that was already pretty high. Thanks for the feedback though.
This was very good use of the theme! I thought it was very hard to try and get the plate to go where you want it, and sometimes it felt like the hand was moving way too slow for me to possibly even think about getting a pancake... or maybe I'm just really bad at the game haha!
I call shenanigans on those clearly photoshopped (I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time) screenshots of someone holding 5 pancakes because that is clearly an impossible task for human beings to achieve.
You had me at pancakes! But, then you kind of lost me at the difficultly level. I shed a tear when each of my pancakes hit the ground :( In the 10 or so attempts I tried, i think I caught a single pancake. That said, I did have a fun time attempting to catch the flapjacks. And, I was amused with what looks like a hinge joint for the pen pivot. I actually had a good time trying to hit the falling pancakes back up in the air once I realized the pen/plate would rotate around. Nice meta game, that ;-)
Really hard game, but also a really fun interpretation of the theme. The audio for the gameover sound was kind of really high. Other than that i enjoyed it!
Its an interesting take on the theme, but the controls are very difficult to get. It takes some time to understand how to maneuver the frying pan. The sounds are good and the game fits the theme overall. Congratulations!
@rowdies 2 pancakes isn't bad at all. That's probably better that most people (other than me of course, I AM the pancake king after all). This game requires a lot of practice to be proficient, more than most people are willing to invest in a jam game it seems.
Damn this is hard, cool idea though! After some practice I managed to catch 5 pancakes maximum. The controls are a bit too floaty, I didn't have the feeling that I was in control. But cool graphics and concept, well done!
