This was supposed to be a turned based race game. But guess what! Space is so beautiful we made it into an exploration game. Enjoy the scenery like never before with Raceless Space Race.
Controls: Select direction of flight with left mouse button. Rotate camera with right mouse button and move it with WSAD and EQ. Return camera to your spaceship with spacebar. Have fun!
I think this game had a lot of potential. The exploration and mood was quite relaxing, but the turn based part seemed pointless and just kind of annoying.
I think it might've been cool if there was another spaceship that you were actually racing against, and each turn you had to choose whether to get a boost or turn left/right. Or maybe a turn-based exploration game where each "turn" you're given the option of exploring this planet or that one, communicate with that ship, talk to those aliens, shoot an enemy ship etc.
Great work though on finishing a whole game in such a short time :grin:
@goat-toaster-games Thanks a lot. Yes the turns are pretty pointless right now, they would make sense if we had time to add AI enemies or multiple players taking turns on one computer.
Too bad your game isn't finished, it has a lot of potential! I'd like to try a most finished version of your game! Exploring space with turn based mecanics to avoid asteroids looks pretty relaxing!
