BUGFIX NOTE: The version of the game playable in the browser at https://zeno.itch.io/bonguys includes a bugfix for a game-breaking issue that multiple players encountered. In the interest of fairness/preservation the original version is also available for download on that page.

Raise your Bon☆Guys in your small studio apartment! Sell Bon☆Guys to earn cash, to buy more! Run out of space to farm them!

Hint: Open your front door at the beginning to get your starter items. You can then access the BonGuide with more information from your computer desk.

I like the art quite a bit, and it seems like a cute game. I grew two Bon-Guys in the original pots, but when the person came to buy them I didn't know how to sell them. Not sure if it's just un-intuitive, bugged, or not implemented at all. Aside from that I imagine that with the addition of some background music, and simple sound effects the game would be quite charming!

I was unable to figure out how to open the package. I tried clicking but the package stayed on the screen even when I slept, visited the computer or went to the bedroom.

Can you give a hint for how to open the first package.

Nice ambiance you got there, I would have loved to have some musics and sounds to top it off.

@saoi-games I struggled on that too, you should click the dialog box at the bottom.

You need to note the package bug at the top so players can avoid it. As @my-sweet-whomp mentioned, click on the dialogue when the package comes. Do not click the package, it stops the dialogue and the package will never open.

It's a shame because it's a neat little growing/selling game. Also the Bon-guys are very charming. The controls are kind of cumbersome. It may help if packages are automatically delivered every morning in a scene, rather than going to the door every time. But overall it's a cute game if you can get pass the bug.

Love the look the game is quite relaxing it'd be nice to get more visual feedback if your mouse is hovering over interactable items.

It's a cute little game that I like it so much! In the beginning, I didn't know how to open the door, clicking the dialogue box seems didn't work. And then I found that click the center of the door you can open the door easily. Those Bon☆Guys are so adorable, I can't help filling my room with them! Great job!

Very cute, well made game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 42 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/x7vAI59f_1I

Somehow the graphics in this are kinda relaxing, reminds me of some old 90s games. I like the colors and the simple interface, the transitions are also adorable. Great work!

Addictive! I played until I could easily afford to plant Black Seeds in every single available space. It'd be interesting if there was a proper "win condition" to work towards, or a "lose condition" to avoid, but I'll admit the gameplay loop stands on its own merits. XD

That said, I had a different problem playing the "bugfix" build: the front door responds only to double-clicks, and then sporadically. Sometimes I thought the game had actually bugged out, but a few more clicks and it'd work. ^_^;

Fun and relaxing. I think it needs something a bit more, but I could see myself playing it a bunch!
