16-cat battle royale while running out of space. Shoot bombs and destroy the ground under your opponents to make them fall out of the map.
The game is largely unfinished, but we decided to upload it anyway. We only got to work on it around 36 of the 72 hours.
Controls: - Move: arrow keys. - Jump: X. - Shoot: C, hold to shoot further.
Features: - 16 player action. - Bots with advanced AI, each one of them gets and changes its target automatically.
Missing or incomplete: - Kill counter is not working properly. - We didn't have time to put most of our art assets into the game (tiles, backgrounds, the rest of the cats). - Music and sound effects. - Gameplay balance.

@echo-team Cattle Royale was in fact the original name of the project, as you can see in our repository, but as we didn't had the time to also put in cattles, we decided to shorten it to just Cat Royale.
It's a little rough, but it's pretty clear what you were going for, and enough is there that's it's fun already. As a finished game, I could see this being one I could lose a weekend to.
Haha nice concept, controls are a pit hard, but I love the other parts of the gameplay, and your cat is so cuute ! Nice entry guys ! For a 36h, this is really great !
It's nice start of interesting concept with parody elements. There are good pallete and funny character in the messy world, but sometimes it's hard to differ main character from enemies - they all are the same color. Also i tried to find an indicators of the slingshot's tension and cooldown.

I like the concept (and anything with cats in gets bonus points) but I do have to say it felt very hard to successfully take out another bot. I got what I felt should be direct hits and it went straight through, is the only way to kill to make them fall off the bottom? An indicator of where the bottom is would be nice too, it currently just is a race to the bottom (since there is rarely a way to get back up after destroying the terrain) and then suddenly you fall off!
