The lab is now a dangerous ruin but we're paying you good money to clean it up but you best hurry up!
The higher ups are considering the nuclear option.
Destroy the sources of these monsters then get home and get paid.
...
By the way we have taken the liberty of fitting you with some experimental mods
that were being developed at this facility.
When activated they should greatly enhance your abilities.
We don't want to waste a chance to collect some good field data,
but the previous volunteers reported a few side effects so keep your wits about you.
