Great visuals! The audio is a bit unusual, but fitting for your game :). One issue I had was that I wasn't really that accurate with my snowballs, since it seems like your player always throws snowballs at a fixed distance, so this made the game a bit harder for me. Good job for making the game! :D
cool game, and finally someone mention that vikings are actually aliens :D everything is fine but maybe ai will be smarter than current version, because it is very easy right now.
Really had fun playing this. As a tip I would say that it would be even more fun if there where like special tricks for you snowball throw.. Like a curve ball or an straight. But that's just a thought. Well made.
I like the music, that aspect is very well done! It just does fit the theme at all. The game is nice quick and fun and has nice increasing difficulty for those who want to continue to play. It was quite hard to judge where the snow balls were going to land due to the 2D view though, maybe have some kind of dashed line for where your snowball may land
Had a really good time playing. Graphics are nice and clean. It's really satisfying when you succeed a nice shot. Maybe it's a game that would worth a multiplayer mode ! Nice piece of work good job.
"What does this have to do with sacrifWHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK ?" sums up pretty much my first minute of gameplay xD. I wasn't expecting that at all. I think the implementation of the theme is a little bit light, but whatever, that was very funny and original =) !
It fits the theme nicely, I like how over the top sacrificing and the reward for it is. The little sound cue when hitting the enemy was really nice touch. Game has some ideas worth expanding on.
Thanks @firellon. The opponents are not able to get the snow gun and there is no way for the player to win without it. If the opponents hit the player it takes helmets away. If you have no helmets left when you get hit you are defeated and restart the level. We will likely be expanding on this game in the future, and adding a two player mode, if we do that both teams will have the ability to get the snow gun.
In regards to our implementation of the theme: In order to win the snowball fight you must summon aliens and sacrifice yourself in exchange for their superior snowball fighting technology. We avoided putting that in the description because we wanted to keep the element of surprise :)
You did a great job on your humorous settings with your graphics, plot twist and audio. I think it wouldve been cool if the controllable unit would look a little more different to the shielding units. When trying to focus where to throw I always lost track of where I am.
I had a good laugh with the alien gun! Good job on the humor part. The art is cute as well and the gameplay works well. I don't see the how it fits the theme but it doesn't matter, you created something cool that works :-) The music is well chosen I like the mood it creates.
Thank you @corbak, I am glad you like the mood the music creates :) I made all the music and sound effects in Cubase Studio 5 using Omnisphere, Superior Drummer, and Massive.
Well polished, fun gameplay. Wish I could've had more control over how I threw the snowball, instead of a single arc. Also, the integration with the theme was...interesting, but it was meh for me.
What I liked: 1. Beautiful art style 2. Great mood, great music 3. Cool "surprise" at the end of the fight
What I didn't like: 1. Got a bit repetitive starting from the second fight - would be nice if there were different surprises at the end instead of the same one every time. 2. Difficulty progression - I played through the game to the end and I felt the last level was not harder than the first one. Maybe I just got better? I'm not sure, but the snowballs didn't feel like they are getting harder to avoid.
Anyway, I had a lot of fun with the game, thank you for submitting!
Very odd game. The core loop itself was very fun though. I didn't feel that the gameplay itself was ever actually effected by the theme, which is the shame. The sacrifice felt very tacked on. The art and sound were really well done though.
I... just... what... what the hell happened. What?
So I got the horn, things got weird, and I played for a bit longer just to make sure. That was so freaking weird and out of nowhere and I loved it. I mean, I originally started playing the game and thought there was not much to it. But that freaking horn got me good.
The graphics are fantastic, and the deep sounds do get along nicely. But all jokes considered, the game was short and simple. Enjoyable and a quick laugh. It'd be fantastic if you could add more features to it in the future, as it has a lot of potential.
I'm redirecting this game to my team, hoping to get a glance of their reactions to the horn. Keep up the good work! :whale:
Love this game! Simple and entertaining. Art specially is quite good.
Music is superb. However it covers the SFX's, which is slightly disappointing. I keep on waiting more audio feedback when throwing and hitting. Maybe adjust the volume on those sounds a little?
Gameplay-wise make it so that your own shield guys won't block your throws.
UFO is pretty bad ass and the weapon they give? No-one should wield power like that!

I could not find a way to hit excepted to throw a lot and pray Luck. Dodging is fun however.
Maybe you could turn it into a handball game for example, with something to hit/protect?
Graphics are nice, but I miss a bit of sfx.
Good starting base I would say!
I think a guy being sacrificed by aliens fits the theme :)
At first I thought my viking buddies were slacking off, but after a bit I understood what they were doing :P
I liked how you fit in the theme, as well. Great job!
Are the opponents able to get themselves a snow gun?
Also, is there a way to win the game without it?
