KNOCK KNOCK Traveling Soulsman

In "Knock Knock", you play Dave Hill, a little silly Travelling Sellsman in souls stuff at the service of the devil and your goal is to keep your job by succeeding the ultimatum that Satan has given you.
You will have to collect more souls than Rodrique the stone by going to propose the best wishes to the humans against a super mega pact ultra cool.

* The mouse (it's your hand), that’s all
* You can interact with everything beyond your imagination, and by everything i mean some things, like the doorbell and a few elements of the background, but that’s pretty much it.

Hey ! i really enjoy playing your game. That was really fun. I lost i'm so sad ! But never mind. This was cool. I think you know but there was some bugs when you have to click. When you selected a text, sometimes you broke the window and you don't want it (idk if it's normal) and when you click on the bell, it don't work. I clicked many times but nothing XD !

The scope of this game is super impressive. The amount and quality of art and writing is unparalleled. And a very clever, unique idea in a sea of uninspired action games. Excellent job!

Wow this game is so cute at every levels. drawings are amazings, music and sounds are nice. Narrative games aren't my kind, but I liked this one.
BUT PLEASE, MAKE THEM ANGRY FOR RINGING DURING AN HOUR (or maybe I didn't ring enough?)

Just 2 things :
- Let the player skip the intro if he want to restart the game

- I got this bug when restarting :

It seems that the scene does not restart correctly.

Overall super nice entry, good job guys !

@antoined73 Oopsie, thanks for the feedback. Yeah we didn't have the time to implement the "skip the intro". It was intended, but we ran out of time. The assets for two more characters were also ready.

its very cute but porlem sovleings a bit hard when doing thses kinds of puzzles it might help to hight inportent dialogue to help push the logic along other then that its its nice

This was a lot of fun! The door opening and closing is a really clever way of showing the people's reactions to what you say and your overall progress with a person and created a lot of tense moments for me where I knew: If I screw up now, it's over.
I also liked how each of the clients had a different way of revealing what their desires were. The grandma that secretly wanted to dominate the world was definitely a highlight! :D

Hilarious, beautiful and with surprisingly amount of dialogue and options. And the intro is just amazing. Absolutely love the long scroll of salesmen with you at the bottom :D
Failed pretty spectacularly so trying again now. Oh, and I lost my mouse cursor after restart, seems to be a bug.

Poor demon, never seemed to be able to push the door bell! :D Great into!! Nice idea and I really loved the dialogues and the way of how you showed how people felt about the demon – facial expression, doors closing and opening, ... Nice design! Agree with contract selection being a bit clumsy and somehow, I couldn't escape the fullscreen on my mac. Overall, I had a lot of fun playing this game. Great job guys, I'm happy!

Love the adventure timey style artwork, the chill music, the snazzy intro! Nice mechanic with the door opening as well.
I think the UI could be a bit more refined as I feel that trying to select the right contracts was a bit challenging. The dialogue seemed to be a bit mixed up as well (eg for the kid I asked him about games but he seemed to think I was asking if he'd be interested in more money).
Great fun though.

@tbaudon I'm using Safari on a Mac. I always had to break something, either a plant or a window to get people out. but it was kind of funny this way and I thought it might be intentional :) I didn't mind it that much

This game is awesome :) Wish it was made into an actual game, I would pay money to play this. I just wish there were more things to interact with, but given the time constraint, I get why there aren't more. Artwork is awesome, music is really pleasing too. Might just be my fave from LD44 :)

This game is super lovely and really nice! Didn't think it was possible to make a super good game with the theme of this jam but you guys totally did it! Indeed a bit sad I am not able to restart the game properly or skip the intro but it is understandable to have some flaws in the game when you have so little time. :smile_cat:

I got fired but it was very fun! The characters seemed quite interesting. Some of them were hard to read but with some more focus definitely solvable. I liked that there was two way mechanic, first get to know them and open the door then you can guess what they want. The art is also nice, simple and fitting the story. I especially liked the boss and there was some nice humor too!

the idea was enough to sell me (haha get it) but to top it off the selling mechanic, writing, art, and music tied everything together perfectly! i think this is one of my favorites, good job!

Very good entry. My initial playthrough I got a bug where it split the screen in half so everything was getting cut off so it was hard to play. I also got the blue screen issue that the user above showed. The game was unforgiving, you couldn't even get one wrong to win and am still working to win, but the interactions are funny, the artwork is great, and enjoyed the music.

Oh my gosh I love the theme music in this game. I found my self humming it along. Seriously there is so much charm packed into this cute little game. And the intro animation and title screen are superb quality. Looks like that of a full title release.

I totally failed with my first customer and I think there was a slight bug where when I picked choices for dialogue I could accidentally break the window haha, but it was easy to work around.

Thank you for making me laugh and have a really enjoyable play through.

Okay, but the fact that Michael Scarn (Threat Level Midnight?) was on that list made my day. The animations and voice acting of this were hysterical and fun. It fits the theme perfectly, in my opinion, and was fun to play. I did have some issues clicking the right option in a couple of instances, but that was the only thing I noticed. Great job here. Would love to see more polish and more interactive options. Maybe some proc gen responses or people?

Ooo, I was writing this as I was going to restart (I failed first time), and I also go the blue screen bug the previous commenter mentioned. Also yes, an option to skip the intro would be delightful.

The character design in this was great. Liked going further and seeing each new door open and seeing who was behind it. Good use of the theme and the written was really well done in adding humour.
