I worked on this for Ludum Dare 44, but was unable to finish. The goal was to start experimenting with "Entity Component System" and the Halley game engine. Overall, it was a lot of fun, and I learned a lot!
Game controls: WASD to move, Arrows to fire. Enemies/terrain does nothing.
Originally, the idea was to have "nests" (the square black rocks) that the Phoenix could nest on to double its "life" points (feathers), and then have shops to buy weapons with life. That'll have to wait until post-jam, however.
(Note: I wrote the skeleton for the game project before the Jam.)
