Concept
You're a bio-powered robot who's long been out of service. Your batteries are drained, sitting lifeless until out of nowhere a energy sphere drops on your head, restoring your system. It's a treacherous world though, so you'll have to find more energy to survive.Development
The game idea I was developing was of a bio-powered robot who has sat abandoned in a storage shed in the jungle for many years, until the shed falls apart and nature reclaims it. Being bio-powered, the first energy source that you absorb is a sweet, sweet coffee plant (hence the name B.E.A.N.N.), and from then on you're addicted. More coffee!Unfortunately that much art and storytelling was beyond me for a 48 hour competition, so I had to do what I could. I feel that the gameplay _elements_ are all there and I'm quite happy with most of them (the camera could've definitely done with more work for instance), but wish I could've made a more complete level (or levels!) and introduced the story in at least some way.
